The Kilwinning Community Archaeology Project will enable volunteers to participate and learn through exploring the origins and evolution of Kilwinning via the discipline of archaeology. The discoveries made by the project will support the future conservation of the historic aspects of Kilwinning.
The Project was conceived by and is being run by Kilwinning Heritage (formerly Kilwinning & District Preservation Society). The project has been generously supported and funded by Irvine Bay and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Society are being supported by Rathmell Archaeology Ltd.
