New Generation Wrestling (NGW) has been exciting crowds for 5 years now with it's unique breed of wrestling talent and focus on creating a new generation of wrestling. When we opened our doors on 16 May 2008, that night we made a statement that we would be fresh, exciting and bold and we have been living up to that statement ever since. NGW is mainly located at Eastmount Centre in East Hull, a place that many have now dubbed "the home of NGW" and throughout the years, the fans of NGW have seen the shows evolve around the Eastmount Centre, creating atmospheres that rival any other company in Britain. NGW takes pride in the fact that we have opened doors for many young talents and given them the platform to showcase their amazing talents. This has further been proven by the opening of our NGW Training Academy ram in association with the British Wrestling Council, which allows us to run top quality training with regular training from the best of the best in British wrestling including highly acclaimed wrestler El Ligero, who NGW can proudly claim as our Head Trainer! People who have followed us from the early days will be able to attest to how much we have evolved and the fact that NGW is evolving even further as time progresses. Our shows are constantly raising the bar and with a roster that keeps increasing in notoriety, NGW shows are certainly an exciting place to be. This is why this website is such an interesting tool for old and new fans alike. Allow yourself time to view the NGW roster and discover the impressive talent that we showcase. Or take a look at our YouTube channel which allows you to view many of the highlights from previous shows and also some of the best matches that NGW has hosted. But the website does not provide the complete experience; the only way you can do that is by heading down to one of our many shows and experience the New Generation of Wrestling for yourself!

TOFTS is a bar/restaurant situated within the Newland community of Hull. The bar/restaurant area is open from 11am through to 8pm with entertainment offered from 8pm at the weekends. The bar is lavishly decorated with a fine range of food and drinks, and has a weekend roster of quality entertainment. The staff are more than welcoming, the chefs are quite simply the best in the area, and the atmosphere in Tofts is second to none in the city. (All of our food produce is locally sourced to provide the freshest ingredients in our dishes.) TOFTS has two floors with upstairs currently open at the weekends. Every weekend downstairs in the main room, we have DJ Mak (The Sesh) playing Soul & Funk alongside crowd friendly R&B Hip Hop and Reggae on a Friday night from 9.30 - 2am. On the saturdays, DJ's John Copley & Daniel Mawer (Grapevine) play an eclectic mix of classic music from all genres. Sundays have recently seen the addition of THE SUNDAY SOUNDS, an acoustic night featuring some of the very best local artists hosted by John Copley & daniel Mawer. All these nights are FREE ENTRY. The *NEW Loft area (Upstairs) of Tofts is open for functions and events, and plays host to an Original Live Music night called TRANSMISSION every Friday featuring the very best bands in the area. It is also due to play host to the legendary Club Night QSM (House Classics) with Tim Yeomans and Pete Lawford on the 16th February and the excellent SATISFACTION Soul & Funk night with Stevie Wonders & Rich Tea. We hope these nights will become permanent monthly features.

Postgraduate study The Department of Modern Languages offers a good range of postgraduate courses and supervision in four individual languages and cultures, and promotes research across traditional boundaries into areas of translation studies, comparative literature, cultural studies, gender studies, Latin America, sociopolitical studies, medieval studies and language learning. We have a national and international reputation in the fields of independent language learning and computer-aided language learning. Our Language Learning Centre has been the lead site for a national HEFCE-funded project to disseminate best practices in language learning provision. We offer four taught postgraduate programmes: MA in TESOL MA in Translation Studies MA in TESOL with Translation Studies MA Translation Studies with TESOL Research Degrees The department pursues research in film studies, translation studies, language technology, gender studies, medieval studies and textual studies.
