Hygiene First Limited is a family business which was established in January 1995, and incorporated as a limited company in November 1997. Our policy has always been to provide the highest possible product and service quality. Our management systems operate to ISO9000. Our original certification by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd. was gained in November 1998, and was upgraded to the ISO9000:2008 standard in October 2010.
As a supplier to the Food Processing industry in the UK the original core business consisted of a wide range of disposable protective clothing that is still imported from carefully inspected suppliers in the Far East. During the last ten years our product range has been substantially extended to include first aid supplies, janitorial products, PPE, safety footwear, safety signs, sanitising wipes, bio hazard products and high visibility clothing.
In March 2007 the Company launched an E-commerce web site with emphasis on first aid supplies and cross selling our other products. This site now has an annual turnover in excess of £50,000. In May 2010 Hygiene First (Medical) Limited was established to focus solely on e-commerce sales.
In July 2010 Hygiene First Ltd. was a finalist in the FSB Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire Business Awards in the Service Excellence category.
