Chef and owner Franco Brescia comes from Foggia in south east Italy and has been working in the restaurant industry since he left school. He is proud to use his 31 years of restaurant experience to create a genuinely rustic Italian setting. Named after his mamma. Franco’s Italian roots infuse every detail; traditional family recipes passed down for generations ensure a truly memorable dining experience. Freshly preparing every dish, using the best quality ingredients, to guarantee that every meal served is perfect. Every member of staff is fully trained to guarantee that our service reflects Mama Rosa’s dedication to customer care. All ingredients used to create our superb menu are selected by hand to ensure freshness and quality. Mama Rosa’s is also available for private hire, and proudly boast a Private Dining area which is now available for you, for any special occasion. We will ensure that you can celebrate in true Italian style. Mama Rosa’s hold a strict NO MICROWAVE policy, every dish is freshly prepared from the moment you order it using daily fresh ingredients.

During the day we function as a tea house and cafe and offer a brunch type menue. However in the evening this pumpkin turns into a start. Once a month we have live music in our basement, three rooms of music and a bar. We also have private cinima nights, showing classic cinima art house films and foreigne language films. On the cinima nights we have a bistro menu to tie in with the film to be shown, come and eat with us then chill out on a lazy boy in the basement and enjoy some cellulode history. On the first Friday of the month we have a tapas evening, fantastic tapas and specially selected wine to suite any palette. Throughout the month we have an array of other events from wine tasting, art exhibition and jazz nights and private dining in our panelled room on the second floor. the GREEN room is available for private hire for up to 200 people.
