The idea behind Potting Shed Direct is that nature inspires us in so many layers and if we allow it creativity leads us all over the place! I cannot help but be drawn into it's bounty. The skills learnt and creations made can be so diverse and many seemingly unrelated that I cannot specialize too finely or I might miss out! Potting Shed Direct is an expression of all the interpretations of this inspiring landscape. For me that's in plants, books, embroidery and skills, knowledge.
My love of the rural life is in it's awesome naturalness. I don't want to harm this. My plants are grown as organically and environmentally friendly as I can. My books are to inspire, provide knowledge . My creations are made using natural materials, exploring local and fair trade. I am experimenting in natural plant dyed handmade materials to use for my work but at present try to seek out similar minded businesses products and am happy to shout about them too.
