Peckham Space is a project initiated by Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London in partnership with Southwark Council. With free events for everyone, Peckham Space aims to significantly enhance Peckham Square, establishing it as part of south London’s visual arts route along Peckham Road that already includes the South London Gallery and Camberwell College galleries, amongst others. Peckham Space has been delivered five collaborative arts projects since June 2008 and over the coming 18 months we will be delivering our new commissioning policy by returning to work with already established project partners as well as new ones. In close consultation with our project partners, we will select artists with a proven track record of producing high quality work within a community context to deliver three 10 week exhibitions per year at Peckham Space’s new venue.
