Kirkley is a place within the town of Lowestoft in the Waveney District of the English county of Suffolk. Kirkley is located south of the centre of the town. Lowestoft is a town on the North Sea coast and is the most easterly point of the United Kingdom. It is 110 miles north-east of London, 38 miles north-east of Ipswich and 22 miles south-east of Norwich. It is situated on the edge of the Broads system and is the major settlement within the district of Waveney. Situated a stone’s throw from our beautiful beach, Kirkley House is a large one bedroomed appartment with reserved off street parking and is ideally situated in the heart of the Lowestoft community. Kirkley House is a magnificent building which nestles serenely in beautiful well maintained gardens. Kirkley House is conveniently close to the local amenities of Lowestoft including a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars as well as tennis courts a bowling green and a Victorian promenade Connections via public transport are very good and includes regular buses that stop right outside the house. Though grand in appearance, Kirkley House features a warm and intimate home-from-home atmosphere inside with fantastic period features, and very large rooms able to sleep up to 6 people including a large hallway, shower room, seperate toilet and long kitchen with washing machine, breakfast bar and a stunning large stained glass window. We have been running the Gardens Tea Rooms/Cafe, Ice Cream Parlour and Boating lake since October 1999. The Tea Rooms/cafe is beautifully situated in a park alongside 2 bowling greens. Kensington Gardens can be found on the clifftops at the south end of Lowestoft's promenade on the junction of Kensington Road (NR33 0HY for those of you with satnav) and Kirkley Cliff Road. We offer good home cooked food at sensible prices in our family run cafe (See menus). Eat in or take away services are both available. We have a selection of Specialty Coffees and Italian Hot Chocolate produced with our Barista machine. The boating lake offers 6, self paddle, canoes for rent with room for up to 3 people in each. The Ice Cream kiosk by the lake offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice cream/lolly products. The park offers the best views of the Lowestoft Air Show (Sat 23rd & Sun 24th June 2012) without all the heavy crowds. Queues at our premises are far shorter than those further down the seafront and prices are much cheaper (Our usual all year round prices - no increases for Air Show days!). Mark, Jane & Family

Hi, I am a hairdresser and have 15years experience (as at sept2013) I like to keep my prices low....very low! I like clients to come to my home to have their hairs cut as it's more convenient for myself with the other things that I do also it is one way I can keep the prices low :) But you will get a friendly service and a cup of tea or coffee. I do not mind if you have to bring children with you when you have your hair done. I am used to cutting children from their first haircuts through to the elderly. Due to losing out on a lot of money with wholesale colours and perms I now do not supply colours, only bleach and peroxide for hi-lights, nor do I do perms anymore. I literally am a hairdresser that cuts your hair. As I am funny about having my haircut due to a bad experience when I was younger, I know what it is like for some of you that have fear. I will suggest what I think is the right amount to be cut but I will, AND I STATE I WILL only cut off what you, the client, would like to be cut. Read the notes section for prices.
