Paul Howard Menswear & Formal Hire

Paul Howard Menswear & Formal Hire

50 Market Street, Marple ,
Paul Howard is a family run business specialising in Menswear and Formal Hire. The company was established in 1978 and has gone from strength to strength under the continued directorship of Paul Whatmough, his wife Margaret and later his son Michael, who joined the business in August 2002. The business has come a long way since 1978. Paul, having worked in a menswear store in Cleveleys for 3 years after leaving the Parachute Regiment, bought a small menswear business based in the heart of Marple, Cheshire in January 1978. After a complete new shop-fit and refurbishment it became Paul Howard Menswear, opening on the 4th March 1978. Starting a shop under the premise of running a business that would offer high quality clothes from Europe’s top label with personal service of the highest standard meant that the business started well and has grown ever since. Only 2 years after launch, the shop expanded into the next door premises to increase the range and quantity of the clothing offer. And now, over 30 years on, Paul Howard Menswear and Formal Hire still provides the same excellent services, high quality clothing and fantastic range of top brands, constantly keeping up to date with the latest fashions to appeal to all ages and styles. More recently, the business has moved into e-commerce to compliment its high street store. Having established a dedicated e-commerce website at www.the-knitwear-shop.com, Paul Howard is now offering its high standards of customer service to anyone in the world.
