Gowy Woodland Park
Gowy Woodland Park is managed by FCC Environment. The site is privately-owned but is open to the public at all times. Dogs are welcome at the Woodland Park, for the safety of park users please ensure that dogs are kept under control at all times, and please clean up after your dog and use the bins provided.
The site is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and our aim is to manage the site for people and wildlife. We therefore ask that you keep to designated paths to avoid disturbing wildlife. Barn owls, water voles and great crested newts are some of the rare and legally-protected animals using the park and surrounding areas.
The cows in the adjacent field are Highland Cattle, please do not feed the cows or enter the cow fileds, but feel free to say hello and take photos. The cattle on the other side of the River Gowy are Red Poll - both Highland and Red Poll cattle are rare breeds.
