Midhurst Milers

Midhurst Milers

Bepton Road , Midhurst ,
You might be wondering how fit you need to be to join a running club. The Midhurst Milers welcomes runners of all abilities. However, when asked the question, we usually advise that to get the most of the Wednesday evening sessions you should be able to jog continuously for approximately 30 minutes (it doesn’t matter what speed) before you come along for the first time. That’s not a rule – it’s just intended to give you an idea of what to expect and help you feel more confident about coming. If you’re not sure, you could always pop into the gym and try it out on the treadmill first. Depending on your level of fitness, it is likely to be quite challenging the first time you come along . Please stick with it! We’ve all been there, so we know how you feel. We also know how quickly people improve once they start running with us regularly
Midhurst, West Sussex

Midhurst, West Sussex

The Midhurst West Sussex Community Page is managed by Midhurst Together, a voluntary group working to support interaction among all elements of the Midhurst community (business and tourism; arts and crafts; environment and heritage; sport; youth and learning; welfare, wellbeing and faith) especially by sharing information about each other's interests and activities. We believe that a vibrant community is an attractive community, and a high level of community pride, interaction and energy is the essential foundation for high footfall in the town, and a more prosperous local economy. Many of us have found that it is very hard to find out what is going on in the town. This is not only frustrating but also has a negative effect on the collective impact of all our activities, and on economic viability. So we are committed to supporting more joined-up community interaction and information flows, as the basis for even greater sense of pride and enjoyment of Midhurst is a great place to live and visit, through a stronger print, web and social media presence, and more face-to-face interaction. Midhurst Together holds informal meetings approximately weekly, announced on this FB page, twitter and elsewhere. All members of the Midhurst community are welcome to attend these meetings, and share their views constructively and join in our shared activities.
Midhurst Time Bank

Midhurst Time Bank

St Ann's Centre, St Ann's Hill, Midhurst ,
Time Banking is where communities share skills, help each other and everyone benefits. For every hour people work they earn a 'time credit' which they can then 'spend' when they need help. There are over 100 time banks in the UK and they have been shown to reduce social isolation, help volunteers to gain valuable work experience and bring communities together.
