Upminster Golf Club, Upminster Hall, 114 Hall Lane, Upminster ,
....Our club is famous for having a warm and friendly ambiance, and we are always pleased to welcome visitors and new members. We are 25 men and 8 women members from all walks of life who have come together to help improve the lives of many by raising funds to support local and International charities, and by initiating opportunities for young people. We have a reputation for good fellowship and good food....any visitor is assured of a warm welcome. Our Fellowship evenings are on a Tuesday, meeting in Upminster at the Golf Club in Hall Lane at 7.15 for 7.30pm sit down. We enjoy a 2-course meal, alternating between starter/main meal and main meal/dessert. Most evenings we invite speakers to inform and entertain us on a wide variety of subjects, including the charities and organisations we support to better enhance our understanding of what is required. When we get down to business we have a lively debate with everyone having their say! All club decisions are voted on in a very democratic way. We always end up having a good laugh about most things. Frequent trips, days out and sports events are organised to promote fellowship and fun in our club. Please feel free to browse our website to look at our recent and forthcoming meetings and events to see what we get involved in, and get a feel for what we are about.

Hornchurch & Upminster Rotary Club

Hornchurch & Upminster Rotary Club

67 Corbets Tey Road, Upminster ,
The Rotary Club of Hornchurch & Upminster was formed in 1946 and is a dual gender Rotary Club in Essex. Our mission attract the new visionaries, successful professional and business men and women from in and around Havering, who have a common agenda - to help people in need wherever they may be. We recognised that Rotary International was the most far reaching and dynamic service organisation in the world, and we wanted to be part of it. Rotarians provide service at both local community and international levels addressing health-care needs, hunger and poverty, illiteracy, disaster relief, and environmental cleanups, to name just a few. Our members experience the fullfillment that comes from giving back time and energy to the community to help others. In an increasingly busy and complex world, Rotary also provides one of the most basic human needs: the need for friendship and fellowship. It is one of two reasons why Rotary began in 1905. The first thing that you will notice about the Rotary Club of Hornchurch & Upminster is the closeness and friendship that exists between its members and their partners. The same friendship can be found throughout the world in all Rotary Clubs that you may visit. We meet every Thursday at 12.30 for 13.00 at The Lodge in Upminster, Essex If you would like to visit then please contact us.
Upminster, Essex

Upminster, Essex

High street, Upminster ,
Upminster is a suburban town in northeast London, England, and part of the London Borough of Havering. Located 16.5 miles (26.6 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross, it is one of the locally important district centres identified in the London Plan, and comprises a number of shopping streets and a large residential area. It was historically a rural village in the county of Essex and formed an ancient parish. Although peripheral to London, the town has good transport links; it was first connected to central London by rail in 1885 and has a station on the London Underground network. The economic history of Upminster is characterised by a shift from farming to garden suburb. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Upminster significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming part of Hornchurch Urban District in 1934, and has formed part of Greater London since 1965.

Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue

Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue

Meadowbank Kennels, Leominster ,
Hi, welcome to Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue. We are a small independent voluntary organisation dedicated to helping dogs in need. Each year, in Herefordshire alone there are around 350 dogs who find their way into the stray pound. Some go back home, sadly many are never reclaimed by their owners. These are the dogs we take care of, we provide them with shelter, either in our kennels or in a foster home, they receive any veterinary treatment they may need and they stay with us until a new home is found for them. We are also here to help should circumstances arise that means you are unable to keep your dog. If you are having difficulties please give us a call, we will do our very best to help you find a new home for your pet.
