As real ale enthusiasts we are partners in a project to convert and conserve the former malting’s on William Street. The building is to be used for brewing, seeing a return of the trade to Newark-on-Trent. It is planned to use the premises for an eight-barrel plant, with a capacity to produce 1,600 litres in each run. We want to produce a good-quality beer that will prove to be a CAMRA prize-winner As well as accepting Newark Patriotic Fund’s commission of a patriotic fund beer , we plan to start the business with a signature beer, called Newark Best Bitter.
