Serena Hodgson - Willow Worker and Craft Artist
Over the last several years Serena has run workshops creating withy structures, both with tissue paper and living willow, at a number of venues such as; The Sage, Gateshead, Whitby Folk Festival, Chopwell Woods, Path Head Water Mill, The Edden Festivl,l Durham Lumiereand many schools. She is happy to work independently or with groups to design and create sculptures.
Serena also weaves willow; making sculptures, baskets, garden structures and wreaths amongst other items. She teaches an introduction to basket making;on either 2 day or 40 hour courses, on which participants either make 1 or 4 baskets
