Digital Media group is focal point of Culture Lab's creative production. It focuses on the critical investigation of technology and their aesthetic and social potential for emerging practices. The group facilitates collaborative environments as art&science and design&technology to generate inter- and transdisciplinary frameworks with the aim to enhance practice-based/practice-led research outcomes. Main research topics include data visualisation, digital fabrication, open source communities and applications, curatorship and digital arts, interactive art & interface design and practices with emerging technologies. Our programmes: The Digital Media MA and PhD programme brings out students' creative side. The programme is designed to let students explore their interests while taking advantage of expert lecturers and state of the art digital media equipment. You will find this course has just the right mix of theory and practice. We offer students a supportive learning environment to explore and develop their vision

Description/location - opened in August 2010 Manor Bank is a modern development with contemporary furnishings. Close to the City Campus East (5 minutes' walk) and Knoll Court and Quay Point. Lift access to all floors. Rooms - 497 rooms in self-contained flats for groups of 4 - 6 people come with fully furnished kitchen / living areas (shared). The kitchen is fully fitted with stylish appliances, breakfast bar and stools and comfortable leather furniture for the sitting area. Studios - 29 open plan luxury private studios are also available sleeping up to 2 persons. They feature stylish kitchenette with breakfast bar and stools. All rooms are en suite with toilet, wash handbasin and ultra modern shower pods. Bedrooms have queen size beds with additional storage, comfortable study area with operator chair, wardrobe and ample shelving . Provided - Electric central heating, fuel and water costs included in the rent as well as personal possessions insurance and administration fees.
