At Peebles Swimming Pool you are welcomed into a warm, relaxing family-orientated centre that offers a unique mix of fitness, fun and relaxation for all ages. The centre features an excellent 25 x 8.5 metre swimming pool with glass walls allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the River Tweed. After an extensive refurbishment, the centre now boasts a new reception area, new changing village, complete with new cubicles and lockers, disabled changing room with direct access to the pool and new lights in the pool hall. Other facilities include a toddler pool, steam room and vending café. Activities Regardless of age or ability there are many activities to suit everyone. Aqua Fit An aerobic workout using the natural resistance of water. Exercising to music using dumbbells, aquabelts and a variety of other aerobic equipment. Swim Fit A structured and coached class which caters to all standard of swimmers by following programmes which will help improve stroke technique and overall fitness. Young At Heart Aquafit class for mainly over 50's although open to everyone. An aerobics workout in the water to music using dumbbells, floats and aquabelts to give you an overall body workout. Adult Lessons For adults of all ages, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or improver come along to learn to swim, improve your stroke & technique. Mixed Swimming/Fun Sessions It’s hard to beat swimming when it comes to an activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Adult & Child Introduces babies, toddlers and young children to the water in a structured and safe way. Full of activities & explanations, this programme will provide knowledge, ideas and fun ways to introduce swimming and helps prepare the child for entering the main swimming programme. Triathlon Training Whether you are preparing for our triathlon series or just to keep fit, this is a complete training session taking in all three elements of a triathlon; swimming, cycling and running.
