Number 20

Number 20

20 Lower Market St, Penryn ,
Number 20 is a cosy bar in Penryn that is perfect for both intimate drinks with friends or entertaining nights out. We have a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere, friendly bar staff and an excellent range of drinks. Whether your chosen tipple is an exotic beer from around the world (including Becks, Leffe, Cisk, Kirrin Ichiban, London Pride and Lieffmanns), fruit ciders such as Kopparberg, Merrydown and St Helier, or fine wines, Number 20 is the place for you. We have a number of events running throughout the week designed to both stimulate and entertain. For example, we have Cocktail night every Tuesday, with two cocktails for just five pounds - made by trained mixologists and with the finest ingredients. On Wednesdays we host a very popular quiz night with a £50 bar tab as first prize and other prizes on the night. On Thursdays we have live music from local singers and musicians, intimate and lovely. And on Saturdays we have sweet beats and groovy toons provided by a number of excellent DJ's. We offer free internet access which, when coupled with our freshly ground coffee, makes for an ideal space to surf the net or get some work done. We're open from midday until midnight every day at the moment but we will be opening earlier in the near-future when we start serving food. Number 20 is also available as a private venue so if you want to hold a birthday or a graduation party, exhibit your work or have a private viewing here, speak to one of the bar staff or e-mail us. Providing you bring the people, we'll supply the drinks and atmosphere.

Jamie Reed - With 16 years in the Media, a BA Hons in Film, TV and Radio Studies and a BA in Broadcast Journalism, it’s fair to say Jamie has got a fair amount of experience under his belt. His passion for perfection goes beyond your usual run-of-the-mill professional broadcaster. Because of his love for his home county as well as travelling as far afield as New Zealand, he sees opportunities in everyday life and wildlife and uses prime locations around Cornwall to set the scene. Jamie is fully aware of the scale of positive coverage and negative scrutiny given by the press about individuals, small and large businesses, councils and large corporations. When it comes to Media Law he uses exemplary skills to delve just that bit deeper to seek out the best probable route for clients to take if they are plunged into a sticky situation. He favours new challenges from all people and enjoys turning their ideas into reality using a little Farmhouse Magic. Tania Reed – Putting her Education and English BA and PGCE in Primary teaching to use over several years in Kent and Cornwall means Tania has collected her fair share of creativity, people skills and an understanding of diversity amongst clients. She knows the value of hard work and flexibility and has a true love in Cornish landscapes including local gardens and coastlines. Her thirst to always better her skills, means whatever the new day brings, she will endeavor to rise to the challenge. Tania’s fascination for travelling and languages means her visits to the Indian subcontinent have given her experiences spanning from 15 members of a family in a rickshaw to washing an elephant in a Nepalese river. If it’s a funky twist on your photographs, a WOW factor event or a media training day for your business colleagues to remember then she’s got the eye for it. Maria Tiplady – Originally, Maria’s amateur dramatic flair was turned towards her studying a BSc in Forensic Science and Criminology in London which saw her experience a different side of life than Cornwall but it gave her great scope for working with excellent minds and encouraged her to push herself that extra mile to achieve. After completing her PGCE in Secondary Science and teaching for 8 years, she knows a thing or two about crowd control and organizing some less than enthusiastic teenagers into passing their exams. Her love for travelling led her to Australia for a year’s sabbatical where her other passion – horse riding – was put into full capacity on a 70,000 acre farm in the Queensland outback. Another language lover, she is keen to try a new skill even if it means being out of her comfort zone. Maria knows how to draw a crowd and always puts her cheeky Cornish panache into her work. Melissa Curnow - After studying a BA in Film and a Masters in Television Production, this young Cornish Editor has joined the Farmhouse Team to further her skills. Melissa has worked on a variety of projects since leaving Falmouth University and has a very keen eye for detail. She is also not averse to standing on a freezing cold RNAS Culdrose runway for a few hours just to capture the action for local charity events!

Tremough Innovation Centre, Penryn ,
Dearest Pets Facebook is all about sharing the cute, often outrageously funny and sometimes sad stories of your pet – with other pet lovers! Here you can tell your pet’s story online - by posting pictures, videos and comments where they’ll be hugely appreciated. We have also created a very special place at www.dearestpets.com for pets to be remembered long after they have passed away, through happy memories. For many, losing a pet can be the same as losing a much loved member of the family. Here you can create a secure celebration page for your pet and invite family and friends to leave comments - keeping memories alive. When setting up an appreciation page, we invite you to choose a pet charity from our list to allow visitors to your pet’s celebration page to make a voluntary donation, directly to the chosen charity. Please note that should you not find the pet charity of your choice, we will be more than happy to sort this out. http://www.dearestpets.com/html/add_pet.php
