We are the South Queensferry WRI. We are a diverse (and gorgeous) group of women with a shared interest in learning new things, sharing what we already know, making random objects, eating tasty foodstuffs and having a good old fashioned chinwag. We are putting our own stamp on the WRI experience, reworking and modernising things... we're bringing new life and a new voice to traditional pastimes. And we like buns. Previous meetings Jan 4th - Women's Wellbeing (inspiring chats with Julia Cross and Dr Macartney) Feb 1st - Mosaic (Check out the 'Mosaics' photo album to see our fantastic designs created under the guidance of Heather Gray from Brazing Hussy Sculpture) March 1st - Grow Your Own (Dougal Philip from New Hopetoun Gardens gave us lots of ideas for our gardens and we raised money for Comic Relief thanks to two members and their families (and cake!)) April 5th - Digital Photography Please bring with you a camera, a favourite photo you've taken, a copy of photo of yourself as a baby or toddler (in an envelope) and your entry for the gypsy creams competition - see Chinwag for the recipe.
