Rupert StClair Photography
I'm based in Kent, England but grew up in Rural Lancashire. My interest in photography was sparked at a young age with my first Pentax film camera graduating to digital around the turn of the century.
I studied psychology at the University of Wales, Bangor with a keen interest in biological psychiatry, evolutionary psychology and abnormal psychology. It was during my final years, when studying consumer psychology that my interest in the visual really ignited. Having completed post graduate teacher training in Canterbury, Kent I went into the teaching profession. In 2012 he founded A1 Impressions, expanding this in 2013 with a sister company, Rupert StClair Photography.
With A1 Impressions I aim to create fresh, vibrant images that capture the essence of his subjects, focusing on event photography, music artist photography and commercial photography of business operations and property for a greater public reach.
With Rupert StClair Photography, I create contemporary and modern portrait and wedding photographs.
Previously, I have has sold beautiful photographs to personal collectors, been commissioned for fine art images and family portraits, photographed children both in a natural setting and in staged shoots as well as providing photographs for companies and charities such as The National Trust.
My work has also been syndicated by various charities and the British Military (namely the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the Royal Air Force Military Band , the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Royal Navy Historic Flight.
