Alison & Michelle would like to welcome all customers, new and old to The Hillsborough, formely known as The Hillsborough Hotel. Situated on the tram route. The Hillsborough has a superior range of guest ales as well as our own, newly launched Wood Street Brewery Ales. The new management wish to re-establish it's reputation for great beer and as part of this has renamed the brewery after the road that runs down the side of the pub. The pub brews up to four times a week that produces enough to supply local free houses as well as The Hillsborough. Fresh food is served daily, Monday - Saturday 12 - 9pm and Sunday lunch, 12 - 5pm. Special offers include any two sandwiches off our menu for £5.00. Monday - Thursday 12 - 5pm is our OAP special offers on any two main meals for the price of one. Thursday 5pm - 9pm is our pie and pea night with a pint of Wood Street Brewery for £6.00. All our food is freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients. We know how much you love to have a party - so let us do it for you! Here at Maggie May's we are able to accommodate small and large parties for anything worth celebrating. Please feel free to pop into the bar, or contact us by phone or email for more information. Here at Maggie May's we accomodate for the more mature and discerning clientelle. Our music policy embodies this, and to ensure the establishment maintains a fun, welcoming atmosphere, we will operate a strict admission policy. Throughout the week we will commit to an over 21's policy, but ID will be requested in accordance with the Challenge 25 operation code. We will also operate a dress code Friday and Saturday. No sportswear or football colours will be allowed in the bar, and a smart-casual requirement will be in place from 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Midweek, the music policy of the bar will reflect our business ethos, and will be purely contributary to the overall relaxed, warming and friendly atmosphere of the bar. Music will consistently be based around and influenced by the 60s 70s and 80s, and this theme will positively embody our Friday and Saturday night events.
