South Molton Taxi Service was established in 1979, founded by Wayne and Tricia Hyde. The business starting life with only one taxi. Parsonage Lane has always been the setting for the company and the family home alike, with Tricia joining Wayne driving in-between raising their family. As their family grew, the business grew and developed too. Now with 21 employees and a fleet of 14 vehicles, South Molton Taxi Service has become a well-established part of the North Devon Community with a wide reputation in the local area as a trusted, friendly and reliable family business. Wayne and Tricia decided to take a step back from the business in 2012 and appointed their eldest son George as Managing Director. Truly a family business, Verity Hyde and Daniel Hyde now have active roles within the company as part of the management team. South Molton Taxi Service strives to deliver exceptional customer service and takes pride in remaining a trustworthy and friendly family business.

We are a self-funding business group for women of North Devon who are in business or have an interest in business. We aim to provide training, support and networking opportunities. Meetings are held in several locations in South Molton including the Amory Centre, the Coaching Inn and Hazel’s. (former Serendipity shop) Membership is £25 for a year.
