Based in Southend, Bleeding Ear Studios has 3 acoustically designed rooms, each equipped with a drum kit, 2 guitar amps, a bass amp and a PA with as many microphones as you need for your rehearsal. The recording studio is now open! We are running a Pro Tools 001 system, with Apogee AD16x converters and Sonodyne sm100ak monitors. We have Waves, focusrite and UAD plugins, Golden Age Project, Focusrite and Peavey preamps and a whole host of top quality microphones such as the sE Electronics sE5600A, 2x Cascade Fat Head II's, a Blue Bluebird and the Shure beta range. Prices for recording are £60 for a 4 hour session and £100 for an 8 hour day. We can cater for live recordings as well as individual tracking. Rates for rehearsals are £10 p/h or £35 for 4 hours. This includes use of drum kit, 2 guitar amps, bass amp and microphones/PA * I will be happy to take block bookings so you can have the same slot each week.
