FunctionTherapy
Before becoming a therapist I originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer, so have a solid understanding of mechanics and mechanical systems. I apply this background to provide a structured, methodical approach, analysing whole body structure for balance and imbalance.
I am a keen cyclist, runner and triathlete, enjoying competing in both sprint distance and endurance races to challenge myself. Endurance events I have taken part in include running 32 miles in the French Alps, an ultramarathon of 42 miles in the English peak district, Challenge Henley iron distance in 2011 and the Big Woody iron distance triathlon in 2010 which involved – 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of cycling then 26 miles of running. From experience I understand the importance of structure and function in injury prevention and sporting performance.
My other hobbies include open water swimming, walking, climbing, mountaineering and mountain biking. I also enjoy spending time with my young on, who since birth has enjoyed the benefits of Paediatric Craniosacral Therapy.
