Pembury Chiropractic Clinic

Pembury Chiropractic Clinic

9 High Street, Tunbridge Wells ,
It’s all in the name of our parent company “Phoenix Healthcare Clinics Ltd’, Pembury Chiropractic Clinic arose from the ashes of our first Clinic just outside of Bidborough, near Southborough and between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. Chris Foley started the original clinic just after he qualified as a Chiropractor in 1988. At that time he also started in an established practice in Hove and travelled there two whole and two half days a week. As both clinics became progressively busier he was was faced with the unenviable prospect of giving up one clinic to concentrate on the other. The clinic grew steadily and several times he tried to find an associate to help work and run the practice. Unfortunately none worked out and the clinic lost ground with each associate that moved on. By the early part of the new millennium There was a healthy patient base but the practice was suddenly faced with severely escalating costs and forced to review it’s location. Bluntly it had become impractical to run the practice in the house at Bidborough and while we were looking for alternative premises the Old shop in Pembury became available. And so it was that Bidborough Chiropractic Clinic became Pembury Chiropractic Clinic. Most of our current patient load moved with us, parking was easy and the new clinic was not too far from the old. Gradually the clinic grew once more albeit from a slightly different watershed due to the easier access from the A 21. Again we tried to find a suitable associate to come and help the practice develop but none have stayed with the usual effect on the clinic growth. Until in 2008 a young lady applied to the clinic for any possible work part time if necessary. She had an impressive CV and it seemed she would fit the bill perfectly. And so it was that Seona Gunn shortly to be married to Mathew Kelly joined us. We have nurtured her and encouraged her and she has helped the clinic grow even in these hard time. She is currently looking forward to returning to work after a short maternity leave following the birth of her first child
