Wishaw Murray Branch Club held their Charter Installation Meeting in Wishaw Orange District Hall on Saturday, 19th June 2010, when over 200 Apprentice Boys from Scotland, England and Northern Ireland including the Governor Jim Brownlie, General Secretary, Willie Moore, President of the Murray Parent Club, Bro Gordon McMorris, Secretary Bro Edgar Laird and Bro John McAvoy Chairman of the Scottish Amalgamated Committee witnessed this historic event.

Lanarkshire Central Budgerigar Society was founded in 1942 and continues to provide an annual show on the first Saturday in September of each year, the club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Membership for 2011 is currently £6 and £8 for partnerships
