Each W/T watch has a standard shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 rota days. This allows the Fire Station to be immediate response 24/7.
RDS personnel respond to alerters (pagers) 24/7. They must be within 4 minutes away from the Fire Station to respond to emergency calls.
