Instagram: HMVHighWycombe Twitter: @HMVHighWycombe Our old FB page was closed down when we found out we were one of the stores the company was planning to close, a decision that eventually got reversed. As a result we thought we'd give this one a reboot as although a lot of people stick to Twitter these days, some people are still more fond of FB & we'd ideally like to cater to everyone. We're always up for hearing from customers whether it's a suggestion for something you want to see in the shop or you just want to recommend a film or band to us. We're always happy to reciprocate!

London Central Elementary High School

London Central Elementary High School

London Central Elementary High School was a United States Department of Defense Dependents School (DoDDS) in the Isles District of DoDDS Europe for pupils in kindergarten through grade 12. It operated from 1951 until 2007.LCEHS fell under the command of the U.S. Naval Activities in the United Kingdom (COMNAVACTUK).HistoryLondon Central High School was established in 1951 at Bushy Park, in south west London, for students in grades 7 through 12. Subsequent base closures led to two moves: to Bushey Hall in 1962, and to RAF Daws Hill, its final location, in 1971.For the 2006–2007 school year, LCHS merged with West Ruislip Elementary School, which had closed in the spring of 2006. Consequently, it accommodated grades K-12 and "elementary" was added to the school's name. At the time of its closing, LCEHS was the last remaining DoDDS school with dormitories. The USNAVEUR Headquarters were relocated from London to Naples, Italy in 2007. As a result, RAF Daws Hill, along with other naval installations in the area, was scaled down and eventually closed. LCHS staged a formal closing ceremony on May 15, 2007 and locked its doors for the last time in June 2007, with a handover of keys back to the US Navy/RAF on 30 June.Former students include the three founders of the band America, singer Bo Bice, author Robert Davenport, Lieutenant General Thomas C. Waskow and columnist Dale Van Atta.
Wycombe High School

Wycombe High School

Wycombe High School is a girls' grammar school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It is an Academy, taking girls from the age of 11 through to the age of 18. The school has approximately 1,340 pupils. In May 2011 the school became an Academy. In September 2005, the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) awarded the school specialist school status in Mathematics & Computing.HistoryThe school was the first state grammar school for girls in Buckinghamshire when it opened in 1901 with eighteen students. The Clock House in Frogmoor, High Wycombe was where the school was originally housed in 1901. The school was first opened in September 1901 when there were only 18 fee paying students and 3 staff. Miss Mary Christie M.A. was the first headmistress. The school moved to Benjamin Road in 1906 where it remained for 50 years, except for a time during the First World War when it was evacuated to the old grammar school so that Benjamin Road buildings could be used as a military hospital. By 1922 the school had 300 pupils and was rapidly expanding. The school acquired its status as a Voluntary Controlled Girl's Grammar School in 1944. By 1956 the number of girls wishing to attend the school was so great that the school moved again to new premises that were built at the present site on Marlow Hill.It won Top of the Form in 1959.Over the years new buildings were added to the school as it grew larger, with Technology, Sport and Drama blocks being some of the latest additions. These were built to allow for the extra 300 pupils and staff that arrived when Lady Verney High School joined with Wycombe High in 1993.
Octaspring

Octaspring

For years mattresses were made two ways. Either with metal springs or, more recently, with memory foam. Springs give great ventilation to keep you feeling fresh, but lumpy and bumpiness is a common problem, with pressure points causing discomfort and disturbing sleep. Whereas memory foam cradles you, but a lack of airflow can leave you feeling hot and humid. Designer Willy Poppe had a flash of inspiration to create a spring made of memory foam. Octaspring's memory foam springs offers the most comfortable night's sleep imaginable.
