Penn & Tylers Green Football Club Girls Section
Penn and Tylers Green FC is an established and successful local football club in South Bucks (centrally located between Amersham, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe) with a flourishing and active girls section. The club has FA Community Charter Status and a strict child safeguarding policy with coaching staff being FA qualified and CRB checked. We are now one of a select few girls football sections in South Bucks to offer girls football from u8 to u14. We compete in the Bucks Girls Football League and are currently looking for players of all abilities to join us at all our age groups.
We maintain a fun and friendly atmosphere with the emphasis on team play ensuring that every member of the squad experiences competitive play in a respectful and fair environment.
For the 2012/13 season the younger girls will train on Saturday mornings at the club with the older girls playing at Sir William Ramsay School in Hazlemere on Saturday mornings 9.30 am – 11.00 am term time and training under floodlights at the club on Monday evenings.

Our Philosophy
Penn & Tylers Green Football Club are committed to providing opportunities for everyone in the village and surrounding areas to participate in football regardless of their ethnicity, disability or gender. We recognise that children of all ages require to be treated fairly, with respect and deserve the opportunity to participate in a healthy sport that encourages teamwork, fair play and the chance to develop their individual characters. We ensure that we provide an environment that is supportive and encourages the pursuit of an individual’s “own personal bestâ€.
A Child Protection Policy is enshrined in the constitution of the club, and at all age groups we have coaches who have passed the Football Associations Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football (or equivalent) or higher. This ensures that the club has a consistent approach to the development of our stars of tomorrow.

Our Story
The girls section started in 2004, Tylers Green Middle School under 11 girls football team entered and won a cup competition and the girls wanted more. One in particular, whose dad manages a boys' team at Penn & Tylers Green FC, was very keen. However, the club did not have a girls' section. After some nagging, that dad and another football mad dad formed the club's first girls under 11 squad. Within months it grew to 14 girls with 3 FA qualified coaches; two dads and one mum.
They played a few friendlies and were entered into the Bucks Girls Football League as under 12's for the 2005-6 season. The word went out that Penn & Tylers Green FC now had a girls team and in no time an under 10 squad was formed. The highlight of the season came on the 31st August 2006 when both age groups entertained girls' teams from Chelsea FC for a series of friendly games. Chelsea brought so many supporters with them that there were more than 150 spectators!
In the 2006-7 season, the original girls (by now under 13's) moved up to the under 14 section of the Bucks Girls Football League. Now there were three squads spanning 6 school years. Girls' football in Penn was growing fast. Apart from playing against Chelsea, the girls could now boast of having played against teams from: Tottenham Hotspur, Colchester United, Swansea City, Rushden & Diamonds and of course Wycombe Wanderers.
The most notable achievement to date came in the 2007/08 season when the under 12's stormed to the league title. They were undefeated in the league with 14 wins and 2 draws. They conceded only 4 goals. They beat Wycombe Wanderers into second place and knocked them out of the cup. This was the first time Wycombe had not won the under 12 title since the Bucks Girls Football League was formed in 2003.
In 2010/11 the current under 12's enjoyed a great season reaching the County Cup Final and achieving a third place finish in the league with a very young squad.
