This three-storey Victorian family house in the very heart of seaside Aldeburgh. It is perfect for family celebrations.
High ceilings, huge rooms, pale wooden floors, family portraits and seascapes. The sitting room has an open fire, the sunny garden room next door has big windows and sofas. With books and board games, table tennis in the garage, you won’t need to go near your flat-screen TV.
The grand table in the sage green dining room seats 14. In the kitchen, the eight-burner hob, huge pine table, three fridges and two dishwashers make this a brilliant place for big parties. The best bedroom has a south-facing bay window and king-size bed, but all are good; those on the second floor are reached by steep stairs, and have great rooftop views to the river Alde. Four spanking new and sparkling white bathrooms make sharing easy. Through the south-facing garden and out the back gate you reach marshland, beach, town and river. Everything is walk able, so ditch the car for your entire stay.
The house is available to rent throughout the year.
