The Scottish Fisheries Museum, in Anstruther, has something new for every visitor to discover - bringing the story of the Scottish fishing industry to life, for young and old alike. Within our impressive complex of historic buildings, you can learn about the earliest beginnings of fishing; come face to face with the hard-working "Herring Lasses"; experience what life on board (and at home) would have been like for fishermen and explore real fishing boats in our boatyard. Our recognised collection of national significance also includes an impressive range of art and artefacts. Of course, no day out at the Scottish Fisheries Museum would be complete without a visit to our cosy tearoom, which has a great range of homebaking (ever popular with visitors and locals alike!), and our well stocked gift shop.

We grow our own cut flowers including all the florist favourites plus more rare and unusual varieties of flowers too. As we don't need to import from abroad everyday you can expect generous arrangements using only the freshest flowers. Our style is natural, garden flowers bursting with colour, fragrance and texture. We are also happy to buy in any flowers not available to us to suit your wishes. Brides-to-be are welcome to have their consultation here where they can see (and smell) seasonal flowers in the flesh. Although we focus on wedding flowers, we cater for gifts, anniversaries and funerals and can guide you to find your perfect flowers.

Rods and reels available for usage but people are encouraged to bring there own Fishing tackle and lead sinkers, Although if tackle and sinkers are needed they can be provided with a extra fee of £20.
