Derbyshire Dales CVS was set up in 2001 with core funding from what was then the Community Fund. Derbyshire Dales District Council offered us three rooms – in lieu of funding - in the District Council Offices on Bath Street in Bakewell and we employed 2 half time Chief Officers, 1 full-time Development Worker and 1 full-time Support Services Worker. Partnership work has recently included being involved the Peak Park’s Live and Work Rural Programme, the Local Strategic Partnership, Third Sector Support for Derbyshire (3D), the Leader Local Action Group, the Southern Derbyshire Health and Social Care Forum and the Community Involvement Network for St. Oswald’s Hospital in Ashbourne.
