Bedworth Theatre Company have been producing live theatre to the populace of Nuneaton and Bedworth since 1973 celebrating the opening of Bedworth Civic Hall with our first major production, “The Blue Goose”. Under our original name "The Bedworth Players". However, people thought we were a football team so we changed it to “Bedworth Amateur Theatre”. Latterly, however, the 'amateur' bit was felt to be inappropriate which resulted in another change to “Bedworth Theatre Company”. Despite gaining a great reputation for performing professional quality plays, we are run entirely by volunteers and are fuelled by enthusiasm and passion rather than by money, and so can provide low cost entertainment of very high standard. The group has, over the years, presented many successful plays such as “The Hollow”, “Pygmalion”, “The Railway Children”, “Toad of Toad Hall”, “Oliver Twist”, "Educating Rita" and many, many more.

Bedworth Lions Club Was Formed in 1977 to serve the community of Bedworth, Bulkington & surrounding areas. We have 13 members who are based locally, whose aim is to raise money for community needs and also to carry out community services. Over the years Bedworth Lions Club rendered assistance to countless individuals who have problems in their lives. This of course is done whilst usually maintaining a high level of confidentiality. The club is very active, usually raising in excess of £10,000 in a year, with no costs taken for administration. Not all activities are concerned with fund raising, there several projects each year that require doing rather than throwing money at them. Bedworth Lions Club consists of people devoted to helping others, whilst enjoying the fun & fellowship within their club, in the community and the Lions Clubs International organisation. Bedworth Lions Club is proud to be twinned with The Lions Club Of Kathmandu Universe. Bedworth Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service organisation in the world. It has a permanent seat at the United Nations. There are over 1.3 Million Lions worldwide, active in around 42,00 towns & cities in more than 200 countries. Bedworth Lions Club contribute to the wider community by supporting eye camps & medication to prevent blindness in the third world. We also support water aid projects bringing much needed water to arid areas of this planet.

Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club, is an independently run swimming club, that has been open for over 30 years. We meet every Friday from 6pm-7pm at Bedworth Leisure Centre. We provide a weekly swim session and swimming lessons for disabled people of all ages and abilities in Bedworth and the surrounding areas. Club membership is free, however from 1st November 2012, the Leisure Centre will charge an admission fee. (It is free if you are disabled and have a Passport To Leisure, or are a carer to swimmers). As the club is run independentely, we rely on fundraising and donations to cover our costs.The leisure facilities include disabled parking, an accessible changing room and a pool hoist to help people in and out of the pool. Bedworth ladies have just finished there 4th season; starting there 5th in october. We are a netball family of mixed age & abilities. If you or know anybody interested in joining for the team or just coming to training to play a bit of netball and increase your fitness levels and have some general fun then your more than welcome! we currently train on a monday night down at heckly fields exhall over the summer and play in a Coventry & Warwickshire leaugue. First training session is free to those who are interested; after that itis £1.50 a session for under 18's and £2.50 a session for 18 + In the 2010-2011 season, we won the divison 7 handicap tournament and we also recieved the Pat Eddie (most sporting team award) for always giving it our best and not giving up. We are now hoping to improve ourselves as a team and work our way up the table!
