Supported by... Bournemouth Airport Bennington Green Construction Green Wing UK Once again, Bournemouth's award-winning Lower Gardens will be illuminated by hundreds of tea lights. From dusk (approx 8pm) join in with the lighting of thousands of candles in coloured glass jars to see the Lower Gardens transformed into a magical candlelit kingdom in one of Bournmouth' oldest and most enduring traditions. PLUS Fire zone, Music Zone, Family Zone and Heritage Zone including great music and street entertainment. Tapers available from the crazy golf kiosk and the Bandstand. In 1896, Princess Eugenie of France visited Bournemouth and her route through the gardens was lit by candles- the enchanting story behind Flowers by Candlelight, one of Bournemouth’s enchanting traditions.
