Brentwood School Sports Centre offers a huge range of activities for both the casual trainer and the serious sportsperson. We pride ourselves in being a place where there is no pressure to look good or compete against others and we actively welcome families with children to use our facilities.

What we do PQA is a weekend performing arts academy providing tuition for children and young people from 4-18 years. Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour-long sessions in comedy & drama, musical theatre and film & television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers. Our Mission By working with people we believe are outstanding in their field, we aim to provide our students with a constantly evolving experience – something that is fresh, exciting and bang up-to-date. We want to instil the benefits of the performing arts into a new generation of young people, helping them to realise their potential, grow as individuals and become the people they want to be as they learn skills valuable for everyday life, not just the performing arts. And if our students have the ambition, we want to teach them the skills and give them the support to make it happen. Above all, we encourage our students to be amazing, just by being themselves. How we do it The PQA model has been put together by people who work professionally in the performing arts, entertainment industry and education sector. It means our classes deliver high educational value combined with realistic industry practice and our students get the best possible experience. Your local academy is run by an experienced, dedicated professional who has proven to us they have the passion, drive and dedication to deliver a really different performing arts education. We do not charge franchise fees to own a PQA because we place most value on having the right person in charge and would rather those people used their resources to invest in the Academy, rather than pay us. All staff undergo a rigorous recruitment procedure (naturally including an enhanced CRB check) and we provide support and training enabling them to work at the top of their game so they can help your children reach the top of theirs.

We are a friendly scooter club based here in lovely brentwood. Everyone is welcome. Our club nights are held on a wednesday evening at the Eagle & Child public house in chelmsford road, Shenfield, Brentwood (CM15 8RG) A lovely pub with lots and lots of parking space, good food and a friendly landlord. We will be a rally going club that will support all other local clubs and bands. We have a membership cost of £15.

Brentwood deserves better than to come second to career politicians. National political ideology, personal ambition and the party 'whip' have allowed the ruling administration to attempt to sell our Town Hall and, now, the beautiful and historic Old House. Their disdain for the public has seen them oversee a culture of secrecy over the worsening William Hunter Way cinema deal. The administration has failed to sign off council accounts twice of late, has promoted a soaring council house waiting list and has raised the pay of senior officers and the leader whilst laying off dozens of council workers at huge expense to the tax payer and it recently 'lost' £750,000 of tax payer money paid by developers. It's tried to dumb down your Christmas celebrations and even ban religious gatherings locally. And our once heralded highways localism budget was handed back to Essex County Council willingly. Most recently, Conservatives ignored a consultation response that said NOT to change Chatham Way car park back to a draconian 'pay before you shop' system. The public said NO, by two to one. Yet ALL Conservative councillors on the committee voted YES. We, naturally, voted NO because this decision is bonkers and will lead to residents parking in good faith but being issued with £50 parking tickets by the council to boost its coffers! Councillors that stay blindly loyal to a national political party influence will just do as they are told by an often misguided leadership and to the detriment of our town. So.... Brentwood First is a group of independently minded individuals that campaign regardless of political ideology and local diktat to promote the best interests of our borough.
