The shopping town of Coleraine is only 7 miles away and there is a wide range of restaurants in the village and the immediate surrounding area. Melagh Cottage is available to rent all year round but short breaks are available only during the low season. Weekend rates are £100 for 1 night, £150 for 2 nights or £185 for 3 nights. Midweek breaks are £90 for 1 night, £140 for 2 nights and £175 for 3 nights. Weekends around a public holiday are £235 for 3 nights.

Situated on the edge of the River Bush, the parish church of Dunluce was built in 1822 upon the ancient church ruin of Portcamon, the walls of which were pulled down immediately prior to the building of the new church. Until 1824 vicars were appointed to serve, the first being William Wallace appointed in 1629. The ruin of the old church of the parish of Dunluce, St Cuthbert, is next to Dunluce Castle on the south side. Built at the beginning of the 17th century as a chapel to the castle it was later used as the parish church and continued in this purpose until the building of the new church in Bushmills in 1822. The parish consists of the beautiful seaport village of Portballintrae, the town of Bushmills and Benvarden estate to the south.

The Pyjama Factory is the first Eco Friendly self catering accommodation offered in the Historic North Coast Village, Bushmills. We have refurbished an existing stone building to create 2 town houses and 2 apartments, rated NITB four star. 3 of the properties are able to sleep up to 6 and a wheelchair accessible apartment can sleep 4. Each property has a family bathroom and open plan lounge and kitchen, offering all mod cons. We are proud that we have been able to include eco friendly components during the development of The Pyjama Factory. Energy saving practices include, heating supplied by an air-source heat pump, high level of insulation, low-energy bulbs and aerated taps for water conservation. The accommodation has an A rating for carbon emissions and is therefore classed as low carbon. The holiday homes provide the perfect base to explore the many attractions offered by the Causeway Coast including; Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-reed rope bridge and Dunluce Castle, to name a few. A central, yet peaceful location that is within walking distance of a selection of local shops, bars and restaurants.
