Wentwood Timber Centre is still the best source of local timbers in South Wales, but is now privately run.
If you want locally grown timber you have come to the right place.

Wentwood Timber Centre is not like the average timber merchant; we have a strict buying policy, always using locally grown timber, and thus helping to promote sustainable management of local woodlands. For more about this see our Environmental page.
Wentwood Timber Centre buys logs directly from landowners and converts into timber largely with our own sawmill, keeping costs down so we can offer good value to our customers.
Finally we have a substantial stock of air-dried timber enabling us to offer a good selection of naturally dried woods to complement the kiln-dried and unseasoned timber we also sell.
