East Surrey Museum
We are a local museum covering the area of East Surrey, which comprises Tandridge District, together with parts of Redhill/Reigate and Purley areas.
Groups are welcome; the museum is pleased to offer a service for a wide range of visitors. Visits can be arranged either during normal opening hours or at other times. The average time for a visit is about one hour. Visits to schools and community groups, bringing suitable material from the museum, is an important part of the service. School visits can be linked to the National Curriculum. The museum volunteers are pleased to provide speakers for suitable occarions, using the museum's collections as required. Please contact the museum for further information or to make a booking.
"Loan boxes" are often available on request, epsecially for schools. There is one permanent "overview of the past" box; other boxes can be made up for many topics including the requirements of the national curriculum. There is no charge but donations are welcome. Please contact the museum for further details.
The museum welcomes all its visitors. People with mobility problems can be set down at the entrance. There is one small step to the path, after that there are ramps for all slopes. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the toilet and no parking for the disabled at the museum. For further information please contact the museum.
