The weight of our children at birth is something that is etched into a parents memory as early on as before the birth. It all starts from 'guess the weight of the baby' games during pregnancy, and then straight after the baby is born, it's normally the first detail anybody and everybody wants to know. Years on, this number will always be discussed, whether comparing weights with other parents or your children actually questioning you as to how much they weighed at birth, and then comparing with their childrens weights and your grandchildren. I'll never forget everybody talking about how my sister was only 3lb at birth and always wondering how much that actually weighed. I knew it was small but could never physically put a weight to it. I have a promise that all of the supplies that I use and the products that I make for my customers are 100% animal free and animal friendly (because I also love my pets!) JOANNA'S STORY Joanna first picked up polymer clay way back in 2007 as a "grown up" way of re-living her childhood obsession with play-doh. She quickly found that the only limit to what she could make with it was her imagination and was soon combining her creativity with her love of all things sweet. She began making decoden boxes and picture frames embellished with polymer clay sweets, crystals, pearls and anything pretty, cute or sweet she could lay her hands on! On discovering her boyfriends jewellery tools lying unused in a box under the bed, she turned her attention to creating high-quality, polymer clay sweet-themed jewellery and in 2008 JoannaMayJewellery was born. Dissatisfied with what was on offer online and in other local stores, Joanna set about creating realistic pieces always adhering to the principal that they should look "good enough to eat" (a fact her Boyfriend's dentist can now testify to!) From humble beginnings making small-scale sales on eBay and Folksy, JoannaMayJewellery now supplies to both retail and trade customers alike and is being stocked in a number of stores across the north west.
