Shrewsbury Lodge is an independent day school for boys and girls aged from 3 to 7 years. We aim to develop the whole child within an environment of academic excellence. The school was founded in 1912 as Milbourne Lodge Junior School, and moved to its present site in 1914. It became a charitable, educational trust, administered by a board of governors, in 1986. In 2009 Milbourne Lodge Junior School merged with Shrewsbury House, a Preparatory School for boys in nearby Surbiton, and was renamed Shrewsbury Lodge.

Milbourne Lodge is a Pre-Prep and Prep School for children aged four to thirteen. Founded in 1912, the school has a rich and proud tradition of preparing children for Common Entrance and Scholarship exams to the country’s most prestigious and well known public schools. Located in Esher, Surrey, the School is housed in an elegant Victorian mansion which is situated within a quiet, leafy suburb. Our Pre-prep and Prep year groups are taught in separate, adjacent buildings and the school enjoys considerable grounds of some eight and a half acres of Surrey countryside, with the additional facility of adjoining woodland.
