Herbcrafts

Herbcrafts

Feddon Hill, Fortrose ,
The aim of Herbcrafts is simple; to help people suffering from a range of common symptoms find relief by using natural herbal remedies taken from ancient English manuscripts. Having been ill for twelve years I found myself frustrated to be so helpless despite the wonderful care of my doctors and the modern medicine they could offer. Turning to my interest in history I began to research herbal treatments as described in Anglo Saxon medical manuscripts. Although there was little understanding of why medical problems occurred in those days great effort was made in learning how to treat the symptoms themselves and several documents survive from the era. These talk about how to use plants and flowers to help a wide range of complaints and, with the full backing of my doctors, I worked hard to pick a shortlist of treatments I wanted to try. I set up an experiment and over the course of a few months I recorded my symptoms in detailed fashion and observed how they fared while taking several different herbs. I was lucky enough to find some relief from these herbs and was very impressed by the effect of a couple of them. My disability leaves me unable to work but I have a desire to support myself and my future wife. Looking to share the benefit of some of these remedies seemed like an ideal way to try and achieve this and thus, Herbcrafts was born! In time new teas will be tested and new products added. We're looking to try adding tinctures and creams in the new future so stay tuned!

Since 1985 we've been offering individual quality English courses. Two years ago we sold our old building and built a new one in the garden, also directly on the sea front in a small village 20 minutes drive from Inverness in the North of Scotland. We still offer our individual intensive English & Business & Finance Courses and we now offer English & Golf courses using our local club, Scottish Experience Courses where clients have a more holiday based course and even English & Whisky Courses where clients get to learn about whisky, visit different distilleries and of course sample lots of different single malts.
