After 17 years in the Shopfitting and Architectural Metalwork & Joinery Industries, and having realised the industry lacked freelance personnel that companies could rely on, for the ‘complete’ service, Bill Simms became a Freelance Draughtsman, trading as Aline Design, to offer such a service.
Commencing at the beginning of 1999, the next six and a half years were spent working for major companies in these fields, on a variety of high class and prestigious projects, in the Retail, Commercial and Residential markets.
Bill took the plunge, and formed Aline Design Limited in August 2005 with the intention of increasing capacity by employing other suitably qualified draughtsmen.
His goal was controlled expansion to a small professional team, continuing to offer the exact same quality of service, whilst making a larger dedicated team available to his clients, for those specific projects where one additional resource just wasn’t enough.
With the employment of the first additional two team members at the beginning of 2006, Aline Design Limited had started its journey, and continues to grow to this day.
