Bramley, a Midcentury holiday let on the Norfolk Coast

Hamilton Road West, Old Hunstanton, Hunstanton ,
We couldn't put it better than Midcentury Magazine who said, "Fantastic weekend spent in Robin Spence designed Modernist retreat on the North Norfolk coast. Big skies, sandy dunes, stylish interior and a design library to die for. An absolute gem!" We've aimed to retain the integrity of Robin's original 1971 design which has glazed elevations to the front and rear and sky-lights throughout but we've added modern luxuries like a power-shower, a brand-new open-plan kitchen and flat screen tv's throughout. The house is full of our favourite midcentury furniture and art but the kitchen is full of sharp knives and new appliances! Bramley sleeps 4 people in a double room with a kingsize bed and a twin room (which can be zipped together and made up as super-kingsize bed). There's also the option of sleeping an extra 2 people on a good quality kingsize sofa-bed. There's a large light-filled open-plan kitchen/living room and another living room with 40" flat-screen tv, a DVD library, turntable with lots of vintage vinyl and a cupboard full of board games. In the garage there's a small pool table and an old table-tennis table that perches on top. The garden to the front and back of the house is very private. There are sunbeds and a new Weber BBQ. The sandy beach at Old Hunstanton is only a 4 minute stroll away and the dunes are a great place to bed down for the day. Old Hunstanton beach is a mecca for kiteboarding with big flat expanses of sand and a shallow, safe sea. The house is located on a private road so it's very peaceful but you're only a stone's throw away from a Michelin starred restaurant (The Neptune), a traditional beach cafe and two local pubs. The area offers abundant deli's stocking local produce and excellent fresh sea food. Norfolk offers endless options for days out from championship golf courses (Hunstanton GC is within walking distance), nature reserves and famous beaches like Holkham Beach. There are mountains of things to keep the kids happy from seal-spotting boat trips to crabbing in the rockpools. There's tons of info in the house and on our twitter feed @BramleyNorfolk. Please email us with any questions, for availability and rates.
