Advanced Financial Planning was established in 2006 and encompasses the Jim Smith Financial Practice which originally commenced in 1986.
Advanced Financial Planning is part of the national network of multi-tied advisers called Openwork. We believe that the multi-tied approach to financial advice offers clients the best of the two traditional worlds of advice, the Independent Financial Adviser and the Tied Agent. We feel that it is impossible for any single adviser to know all the details of every product, plan or policy provided by every insurance company, pension provider and investment manager in the UK. Our approach, and that of Openwork, is instead to select some of the biggest names in the UK, selected because of their ability to deliver adaptable products and high quality service. The collective bargaining power of the network allows each adviser to access dedicated support from these product providers, which in turn, improves the service our clients can expect to receive.
