I etch on quality Glass and Crystal and I like to keep the designs in keeping with the shape and colour of the glass. I work mainly to commission designing vases for people who want something of value, something that they may wish to hand down to the family in the future. I also have a commercial line of etched Crystal and Glass Paperweights, Vases plaques and door panels I also etch Awards and Trophies and special items for weddings and celebrations for example Brandy Glasses, Champagne Glasses and Beer mugs. There are a number of stages to go through, drawing the design, making a stencil of the design, placing it on the glass and then blasting, cleaning and polishing. Lanark Racecourse has been home for the club since its foundation. Changing facilities over the years have varied from Nissan huts, converted railway goods vans, and the present clubhouse which has been lovingly restored and renovated over the past three years. When they where inaugurated in Season 1973/74, Lanark RFC competed in the National Leagues. Unfortunately Lanark were later relegated and competed in the Glasgow District League until Season 1988/89. Currently Lanark are in the Scottish RBS West regional division 3.

ICE is a group for young people who like to Sing, Dance and Act. We create opportunities to perform onstage, perform in our band, help Backstage, help with Tech and Production, and help Front of House. ICE is run by members of the club and many progress to production and committee roles ♫ We put on two main shows a year - our Revue Show and a Production of a Musical. Hello and welcome to Lanark Community Development Trust on Facebook. Incorporated officially in June 2009, the Trust exists as an independent, locally rooted organisation with the interests of the town at heart. There is no shortage of community action in Lanark - indeed, the high levels of social capital available locally are clearly visible. However, ideas for new events and opportunities to use vacant land or reuse buildings often seem to disappear before anyone takes the initiative to turn them into real community assets. The Trust endeavours to further harness the skills and talents which exist locally to develop robust and sustainable solutions to the many issues which face the town today.
