Heavenly Soles - Cranleigh

6 Mead Road, Cranleigh ,
Reflexology is a non invasive holistic treatment using various pressure techniques on the feet with thumbs and fingers to maintain the delicate balance between all the systems of the body. Healing is both initiated and accelerated with this treatment. Each defined reflex area on the foot is linked to a particular part of the body which will help the body reach a state of homeostasis (balance). It will also benefit those with specific conditions such as depression, constipation, insomnia, migraines, sciatica, back pain, infertility, menopausal and period pains for example. Reflexology can also be used as ongoing support for illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes and epilepsy.

Cranleigh Ladies Hockey Club

Cranleigh Ladies Hockey Club

Cranleigh Ladies Hockey Club (CLHC) was started in 1976 and over the years has developed considerably, but the goal of the club has remained – to encourage all those who want to play hockey to come along and join in. We run two ladies teams, who both play competitively in the Surrey Ladies Hockey League. Home matches are played on the all-weather pitch at Cranleigh School, and training sessions take place every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm also at Cranleigh School. We welcome new players to the club, whether you are wanting to start playing hockey, return to the game, or are new to the area, we have opportunities for all. A number of our ladies also play mixed hockey with the Cranleigh Coqs. This team was designed for social, fun hockey, and fixtures are arranged against other local mixed teams. So if you or your other half have always wanted to play mixed hockey, now could be the time to start.

Cranleigh Choral Week

Cranleigh Choral Week

The increasing popularity of and repeat subscriptions to this Choral Week every year since it began in 1995 have been the hallmarks of its success. With the enormous diversity of groups in the world of amateur choral music, Jeffrey Wynn Davies’ objective was to devise a course that would appeal to those from all types and sizes of choirs. By offering chamber choir and large chorus repertoire and performance opportunities for both in the same course, he wanted to enable participants to experience the familiar and the not so familiar. For those who sing in large choral societies, not only do they perform in a large concert at the end of the week but also, during the week, have the opportunity to experience other choral styles and learn other music not usually sung by large choirs but more often performed in smaller chamber choirs including some items of a more secular nature. The music chosen is varied and taken from right across the last 400 or so years. For the reverse, members of smaller choirs have the opportunity to contribute to the performance of major choral works in large venues. As well as preparing and performing these in just one week, participants are introduced to new smaller choir repertoire as part of the mid-week concert in the Cranleigh School Chapel.
Old Cranleighan Media Society

Old Cranleighan Media Society

The objective of the OC Media Society is to create a platform that will aid OCs in the highly competitive media industry. It is hoped that the society will create a environment that will facilitate networking opportunities between members in an informal environment and also provide opportunities for recent graduates interested in a career in the media to meet experienced media professionals. Moving with the current trend of media convergence, the society is open to professionals of all media platforms, be it television, films, online, radio or the printed word. The intention is for members of the society to take part in regular events roughly 2-3 times a year which will involve talks from OC's in the media and opportunities for all members to mix and network. If you are interested in joining, please apply to join the group or e-mail george.hawes@deltatre.com
Old Cranleighans Fives

Old Cranleighans Fives

Horseshoe Lane, Cranleigh ,
OC Fives hasn't flourished over recent years, but we're hoping to have 3 or 4 fixtures per season to get us started. This is something that can be increased. It has also been suggested that we tour. Whilst invitations have come from abroad, I suggest a mini-tour to Oxford at some point.
