After recently receiving planning permission from Castle Point Borough Council, Essex County Council and The Salvation Army will now focus efforts on delivering a legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Mountain Bike venue. The Hadleigh Legacy Project The Hadleigh Legacy Project will see the Olympic Mountain Bike course being retained and adapted for use by the public, as well Hadleigh Country Park being expanded and enhanced, providing opportunities for people to more fully access, enjoy and appreciate the area’s natural historic environment. The plans include a Visitors Centre, Café, bike hire shop and network of multi user walking and cycling tracks.will bring together and bring to life the heritage of Hadleigh Farm and Country Park alongside the legacy of the Olympic Mountain Bike course by: • Retaining and adapting the Olympic Mountain Bike course for use by the public • Improving the wider network of trails and paths for a range of different users • Projects to protect and enhance the natural and historic environment • And improving the facilities for community and visitors to area

Since opening in 1990, the Hadleigh Training Centre has worked with a number of organisations, including local authorities and the job centre, with the main aim of training people with special educational needs in contemporary subjects such as IT skills, carpentry, and life skills. Since then, the centre has rapidly expanded in both the numbers of staff and trainees. At the centre, we try to create a hard-working but fun and relaxed atmosphere. As well as the range of contemporary subjects on offer, we also teach the life skills that are vital for a trainee to function both in the workplace and in everyday life. These include working to a structured day, proper and improper behaviour, motivation, and a strong work ethic. However, we also look to offer so much more to our trainees. Many of our clients come to us in times of hardship and trouble in their lives. We offer them support from our experienced staff, some of whom started as trainees. We also try to encourage the trainees to support each other and work as a team, which they're always happy to do. They are supportive and enthusiastic, which shows in their achievements, the quality of their work and how far they progress on a personal level.

We are a thriving club in the heart of South Suffolk. Our 1st and 2nd teams play on Saturdays in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship, against teams in Suffolk and North Essex. The 2 Sunday teams play in the Hunts County Bats Suffolk League.
