Ebrington, the setting for The Walled City Tattoo, 2013 could not be more fitting. With its imposing historic buildings and walls that have a colourful history dating back hundreds of years and of course, adjacent to the spectacular Peace Bridge.
The Walled City Tattoo is a blend of home and international talent. With a 600 strong cast, music, song, dance and theatre will display a vivid reflection on our coloured history.
Traditional favourites will feature as Highland and Irish dancers come together to present a spiralling and vibrant display that fuses the main cultures within our society.
The showcase will revive and recreate the thriving industries of our city. The Shirt Factories, The River Foyle and The Show bands era will once again be brought back to life in a spectacular extravaganza.
Top Secret Drum Corps, our international guests, are a precision drum corps with an energetic and unpredictable style. They have drummed their way into the hearts of tattoo spectators throughout the world.
From the spine-tingling effects of Top Secret Drum Corps, truly world class, to the massed bands, the melodic sounds of the choir, and a 100 strong dance troupe, The Walled City Tattoo will leave us with a springboard to a new way of thinking.
The iconic moments of this event will unlock creativity and INSPIRE THE IMAGINATION.
