I am what I would describe as an semi-professional with a good eye for composition, a fast finger and fairly advanced photo editing skills in Adobe Photoshop. I am experienced in wedding, portrait and studio work so I have a good idea what my clients want. However, I run on the premise that you cannot generalize from one client to another so whatever your style of shoot, I will aim to please YOU by discussing beforehand what style YOU are after, what YOU hope to achieve and I will be guided by that throughout. I love capturing images of the special moments in life and I love the idea that years from now brides will take out their wedding album and smile with delight at the memories... memories I helped capture and preserve. I love seeing the smiles on people's faces when they review their portraits and making them feel good about themselves by using flattering angles, lighting and perhaps a little light air brushing should they desire! At the moment I don't have my own studio so family portrait shoots are done on locations around Leicestershire (I don't charge travel expenses for this). I can come to your home, but more often than not I find clients enjoy going outdoors to local parks etc and having photos within naturally beautiful surroundings. Bradgate park is the current top favourite! Though I also like Abbey Park if you like more formal planting and Swithland Wood is beautiful if you like photos which play with light and shadow. I feel this makes me stand out a little as a lot (if not all) photographers have studios and after a while this can get a bit samey. I have also been known to hire a nice hotel room for shoots. I hope in the future to have my own studio (portable) so clients can request formal shots with plain backgrounds.
