Ocelot Mag

Ocelot Mag

65 Rogers Meadow, Marlborough ,
Mission GROUNBREAKING CONTENT The Ocelot is unique and 100% independent. From its launch in July 2006 The Ocelot has always gone its own way, and has had a significant impact on the cultural scene in the area. It has developed a loyal following thanks to its unique, humorous content and unrivalled ‘what’s on’ section – by some distance the most comprehensive and accurate in the area. A LOYAL READERSHIP The Ocelot has a large readership. We print 25,000 copies a month, giving us a readership of at least 50,000 (a conservative estimate given the industry standard of 2.5 readers per free copy). Returns are monitored and assessed monthly to ensure optimal distribution. You can be sure your advert is being seen by thousands of readers flush with disposable income. BUCKING THE TREND With major media groups across the UK reporting falling newspaper sales, The Ocelot continues to grow. There’s no cover price – The Ocelot is distributed for free each month to more than 1000 pubs, theatres, restaurants, colleges, universities, coffee shops, tourist centres and national chains across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. The Ocelot hits the streets on the 1st of every month, rain or shine, and has become the most important what’s-on guide for the region, providing information for organisations such as Newsquest, BBC local radio, and Jack FM. A SPRINGBOARD FOR LOCAL CULTURE The Ocelot’s artistic and satirical content has inspired many creative submissions. We regularly feature illustrators, musicians, poets, comedians, cartoonists, photographers and many more. In fact the majority of our columnists and resident experts are ‘homegrown’ and help us keep a finger on the pulse of the local scene. Everything from local music and theatre to real ale and food is featured in the Ocelot.
The Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn, 5 The Parade, Marlborough ,
The Lamb Inn – originally a coaching inn dating back to 1672 — is situated in the heart of the Wiltshire market town of Marlborough. The Lamb is a successful combination of traditional market town pub, informal restaurant and guest house. Locals, visitors and real ale lovers alike relish the delights of drinking Wadworth’s beer served straight from the wood. There’s also a carefully chosen selection of wines, starting at £13.50 for a house white or red. Foodies very much enjoy Jackie Scott’s (the landlady) home-cooked dishes, which can vary on a daily basis from traditional and modern British dishes, to tapas or Thai. (Jackie also takes a real interest in creating interesting vegetarian dishes.) *Lunch is served 7 days a week from 12 noon – 2.30pm; dinner is available Monday – Thursday from 6.30pm – 9.00pm* Live music is a regular treat at The Lamb, with a great range of musician's displaying their skills to the ever enthusiastic crowd. Just look out for the posters at the entrance and around the pub for dates and times. Accommodation comprises three ensuite rooms in the pub itself and a further three rooms in the stable block which overlooks the pub’s courtyard. In the warmer months, life at The Lamb — day and night — very much revolves around the courtyard. Colourful hanging baskets and a pergola (complete with its own vine) add to the courtyard’s appeal making it a delightful spot for lunch or dinner or to spend a long and relaxing afternoon with friends. Our central location, coupled with good food, the pub’s convivial atmosphere and high quality accommodation makes The Lamb an excellent base for discovering what the market town of Marlborough and this part of Wiltshire has to offer. And by the way, we have no problem with well-behaved, dogs and kids, or adults for that matter!

The best part is that people now use us for many reasons, either catering for an entire party or flying through for a breakfast croissant and coffee.
