Welcome to the Sheerness Skate Park Facebook page. This project is all about getting young people the new skate park they desperately need. The current ramp at Beach Fields is now 10 years old, and is both outdated and highly dangerous. The ramp has been repaired multiple times by the council, but it is safe to say that it is on its last legs. This committee has been running for around 10 years now, and we are now in the final stages of finishing this project for the young people of sheerness. The Sheerness lifeboat station was established in 1969 by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and is one of 235 Lifeboat stations around the shores of Great Britain and Ireland. The volunteer crews provide a maritime search and rescue service for the Kent coast. The station is equipped with a 46ft Trent Class Offshore Lifeboat called “George and Ivy Swanson”, and a IB1 inshore lifeboat called “Eleanor”
