Young Musicians Hebrides (SC026059) is a voluntary sector organisation whose main aim is to provide music tuition and group music making activities for young people. Established in 1995 as a children’s orchestra, since 2002 we have been running projects to build a team of local tutors to teach a range of instruments and activities. Based in Stornoway, we are developing new opportunities to extend music making for children and adults throughout the Western Isles.

The NQ Multimedia and IT course can be used as a stepping stone to HNC courses in computing related subjects. It is made up of the following qualifications: - National Certificate Digital Media Computing at Level 5 - National Progression Award Internet Technology at Level 5 - National Progression Award Web Design Fundamentals at Level 5 - Intermediate 2 Computing at Level 5 The course is delivered at SCQF level 5 and therefore potential students are expected to be educated to SCQF level 4, which could be demonstrated by having some of the following qualifications: - A group of standard grades at general level (level 3 or 4) - A group of intermediate level 1 unitsmodules Applicants from adults without formal qualifications are welcome. Museum nan Eilean is Britain’s most north westerly local authority museum providing a service to the islands of the Outer Hebrides from Barra in the South to Lewis in the North. Established in 1983 the museum operates from two centres, Stornoway in the north and Sgoil Lionacleit on the island of Benbecula in the south. It also works closely with the Comainn Eachdraidh, the distinctive and individual historical societies of the islands.
